A Lusitano stallion turned loose in a courtyard comes towards me out of the shadow.
The wall behind him is one of two huge white 18th Century buildings at the stud farm where he lives. The shadow makes the wall look grey.
There is so much about the image that pleases me. The light is lovely coming from the side and slightly behind the horse.
The horse himself is magnificent, with a wonderfully muscular chest and a mane that flicks up into a shaft of light.
I love the way the light touches his back and the tops of his legs a well as outlining the side of his head.
